Systems Administrator

is a RegTech (tech company managing regulatory processes) and advisory firm empowering their solutions through the proprietary data and software. Polixis assists companies in need of Risk and Compliance solutions. Besides, the company provides data to signal any political, AML, reputational, sanction or other risks, automated KYC reviews, and several types of RESTful APIs. The technology stack includes Java/Spring, Python, React JS, MongoDB and more.

Polixis is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland has offices in Zurich, London, and Yerevan.

To the Yerevan office of the company Polixis is looking for a Systems Administrator to help build out, maintain, and troubleshoot rapidly expanding infrastructure.
Systems Administrator
Responsibilities
  • Provide network design as well as daily operations qualified recommendations
  • Troubleshoot technical problems
  • Provide on time data copying and archiving
  • Support, maintenance and modernize virtualized environment
  • Provide software security patches and updates
  • Implement archiving and backup storing
  • Provide employees with an access to systems, services, etc.; terminate or limit it as appropriate
  • Provide administration of systems and the services access
  • Informs immediate supervisor about system violations cases and takes measures
  • Documents system information, other technical data
Qualifications & Competencies
  • University degree in Computer Science or in a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in system administration
  • Experience with the following technologies: Nginx, Tomcat, Elasticsearch, MongoDB Cluster, Docker, Ansible, Jenkins
  • Strong knowledge of backup solutions
  • Strong knowledge of logging systems
  • Strong knowledge of monitoring tools;
  • Strong knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS or similar)
  • Knowledge of storage systems
  • Fluency in Armenian, knowledge of technical English
  • Ability to work with dedicated hardware servers and blades
