Frontend Developer

is a RegTech (tech company managing regulatory processes) and advisory firm empowering their solutions through the proprietary data and software. Polixis assists companies in need of Risk and Compliance solutions. Besides, the company provides data to signal any political, AML, reputational, sanction or other risks, automated KYC reviews, and several types of RESTful APIs. The technology stack includes Java/Spring, Python, React JS, MongoDB and more.

Polixis is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland has offices in Zurich, London, and Yerevan.

To the Yerevan office of the company Polixis is looking for a an experienced FrontEnd Developer to work on the flagship banking risk management software and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation.
Frontend Developer
Responsibilities
  • Develop new user-facing features
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
  • Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
  • Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
Qualifications & Competencies
  • At least 2 years on experience of working on similar position
  • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3, SASS
  • Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
  • Good understanding of libraries and frameworks like TypeScript, ReactJS, CytoscapeJS, RxJS, Bootstrap etc
  • Good understanding of reactive programming
  • Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
  • Good understanding if data structuring formats like JSON and XML
  • Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image
  • Familiarity with tools such as Gimp or Photoshop is a plus
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git / Mercurial / SVN
  • Knowledge of Java and related web technologies would be a plus
