Senior Data Scientist

Aarki is looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join its team in Yerevan office of the company.

is an ad-creating platform transforming mobile app marketing using big data, machine learning, and large customer reach.

Company was launched in 2010. Today Aarki employs around 100 people. Its headquarter is located in San-Francisco, one office is in the Philippines, company is planning to set up an office in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. 15 people are working in the Armenian office of the company.

Senior Data Scientist

Responsibilities

Research, design, and implement algorithms and pipelines for solving optimisation and machine learning problems
Understand data domain and translate business requirements into code
Analyse system performance relative to various key metrics and establish a framework for fast iterative development

Salary: $4,000-6,000 net

Qualifications & Competencies

Bachelor's in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or equivalent
Strong working knowledge of math and computer science fundamentals
Proven track record in one of the following machine learning domains: recommender systems, unbalanced classification problems, Bayesian inference, factorization models, neural networks, deep learning
Strong working knowledge of machine learning, data modeling and visualization in Python, R, or other languages
Experience with databases and SQL
Experience with deploying machine learning models to production systems
Good understanding of probability and statistics
Good understanding of numerical optimisation algorithms, convergence, stochastic optimisation methods

Would be a plus

Experience with computational advertising problems
Parallel computing and "big data" frameworks (e.g. Spark)
Experience with data warehousing systems and MPP databases
Familiarity with network and system administration of high throughput/high load environments
Master's or Ph.D.
